This book reminded me right off the bat of Lemony Snicket books. It is about a young lady who is hired to be a live in nanny and teacher of the three children. But little did she know the children were being kept in a barn, and they were discovered in the woods after being raised by a pack of wolves.
She realized Latin and French would have to wait, as she was going to have to teach them their names and how to dress. The people who hired her had little hope that she would have success, and they planned to turn them loose when she gave up. But she wouldn't think of it. In fact, when asked how they were coming along in their studies, she overstated their progress to the lady of the house. She was so impressed, she invited her and the three children to the huge Christmas party with a warning not to embarrass her. Would her lessons prove to keep the children out of trouble, and danger? |
